Theodoros Koutros

Theodoros Koutros is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, University of Crete. He is a graduate architect and engineer (School of Architectural Engineering, National Technical University of Athens) and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. He holds postgraduate studies in Social Innovation and Development Strategies (School of Social & Political Sciences, University of the Peloponnese & National Center for Social Research) and Social and Solidarity Economy (School of Social Sciences, Hellenic Open University). His doctoral thesis is entitled “Addressing job insecurity through the social economy: the case of cultural and creative industries”. He is currently a member of the research team in the project “Labor Precariousness and Social Cohesion: The Case of Cultural and Creative Industries (LaPreSC)” (Funding EL.IDEK. 16313) hosted by the University of Crete. His research interests include industrial sociology, sociology of work, urban sociology, spatial development and cultural and creative industries.
