
The new newsletter of the Social Inclusion Observatory is now available, bringing together recent research and initiatives that highlight key aspects of social policy in Crete.
This issue includes:
• Findings on income inequality and intergenerational mobility.
• Civil society activity in areas facing deprivation.
• Analysis of new deprivation clusters (2019–2023), with mapped trends in income, employment and housing at the community level.
• Support structures for persons with disabilities and issues of accessibility.
• The child protection system in Crete.
• Good practices in social housing and social policy, such as the Thessaloniki Social Housing Office and the example of the social fashion enterprise Progetto Quid.
• Contributions to scientific publications, as well as participation in national and European initiatives and networks aimed at strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise and promoting social inclusion at the local level.
