The Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete participated in the 1st High-Level Cross-Border Visit, within the framework of the three-day actions of the Action “EKOINO – Citizens’ Energy Communities“, which is implemented through the INTERREG VI-A Greece-Cyprus 2021-2027 Program and took place in Heraklion from 24 to 26 June 2026.

During the first day of the work, the Head of the Observatory, Katerina Vlasaki, presented the work and its role, highlighting the importance of the social dimension in the development of Citizens’ Energy Communities.

The three-day event, organized by the Regional Development Fund of Crete (RDFK), highlighted the importance of cooperation between representatives of institutional and academic bodies from Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of promoting a sustainable and socially just energy future.
