Chara Kokkinou

Chara Kokkinou is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Sociology (University of Crete), with postgraduate studies in Sociology (Department of Sociology, University of Crete) and Philosophy (Department of Philosophy and Social Studies, University of Crete). She has worked in research projects at the National Center for Social Research (EKKE), the Laboratory of Social Analysis and Applied Social Research (EKA EKE, Department of Sociology, University of Crete) and the Center for Research and Studies (KEME) of the University of Crete. He was a member of the research team of the 2nd and 3rd axes of the research program “Expertise Research in Support of the Social Inclusion Observatory” (2020-2023), while she has significant experience in issues of industrial relations, Social and Solidarity Economy, transnational solidarity on migration, unemployment and disabilities and political participation of young people in times of increased inequalities. In the three years 2013-2015 she worked at the University of Manchester (Law School and School of Business Administration) on projects on precarious employment and changes in collective bargaining.
