Matina Lefkocheir is a member of the staff of the Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete. She is a Sociologist with a degree from Panteion University. She holds a master’s degree in social exclusion and minorities from the same University.
She has many years of working experience in the Directorate of Immigrants of the Decentralized Administration of Crete and the Directorate of Citizenship of Crete. During that period, she had been an Assistant Head of the Department of Social Affairs. She was also a member of various Committees and an external partner of the Council for the Integration of Immigrants of the Municipality of Heraklion.
She possesses a working experience in an NGO for young people at risk and has rich volunteer experience in institutions and organizations related to addictions, child protection and first aid-rescue.
