The Region of Crete held the first teleconference on the mapping of social services and social programs in Crete, within the responsibilities of the Regional  Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete (Observatory). The teleconference was held in the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor of Public Health and Social Policy, Lambros N. Vamvakas, with the participation of the Deputy Mayors of Social Policy and representatives of the social services of all the Municipalities of Crete. The 1st Internet Conference of the Region of Crete-Regional Committee for Gender Equality (PEPIS Crete) was held with great participation by the public, in co-organization with the Municipal Committee for Gender Equality of Heraklion (DEPIS Heraklion), on "Elimination of Violence against Women data and intervention practices ". The Regional Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete is in full operation

The Regional Observatory for Social Inclusion of the Region of Crete (Observatory), staffed by social scientists, is in full operation. The Observatory cooperates with the University of Crete, specifically with the Laboratory of Social Analysis and Applied Social Research of the Department of Sociology, in order to conduct specialized social research. The first meeting of the Observatory with the scientific team for the development planning of its activities, took place online, in the presence of the Deputy Regional Governor of Public Health and Social Policy, Lambros Vamvakas.
