Participation of the Region of Crete in the European Social Network "ELISAN" in Marseille
The Region of Crete participated in the processes of the General Assembly of the European Social Network ELISAN held in Marseille with the participation of representatives of the Regions - members of the Network, from countries such as Greece, France, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Sweden , the Netherlands.
In the framework of the General Assembly, ways of cooperation of the Regions in matters of sustainability of cities were sought through social policy and development measures (health, housing, technologies, tourism, family, transport). The need was raised to support social structures and to develop synergies between local authorities across Europe to address common social needs through the use of European Union funding sources.
