Vrenzou Pelagia was born in Germany in 1974 with origins from Anogia (Crete). She is a graduate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Law and Economics with a master’s degree in Public Health and Health Services Management. She has been living and working in Heraklion since 1998.

She started photography at the age of 15 when her uncle donated her a ZENITH camera with film. Her interest in artistic photography arose at a very young age, receiving stimuli mainly from the place where she grew up, from the special relationship and contact with people. After many experiments, she started studying photography in Thessaloniki, and at the Photographic Society of Crete (EFEK) willing to give to her images the content that others cannot see.

Social issues such as loneliness, domestic violence, poverty, economic crisis are issues that concern her. She is in constant search and captures with her photographic lens the silences of the soul and the mind to convey the hidden "beauty" and "charm"…
